Toni Braxton looks and sounds better than ever in the music video for her latest single Gotta Move On.
The slow-burning R&B number is taken from the singer’s new album Spell My Name and features an electrifying guitar solo by H.E.R., who also appears in the clip.
Alongside black and white footage of Toni showcasing her enviable figure (at 53!), the visual plays out to the lyrics of the track, about getting over a cheating partner who’s never around.
It features a couple going through the motions of a rocky relationship during which the female companion is dying inside as the romance crumbles around her.
In a clever throwback, the woman, played by Natasha Marc, has a shower scene reminiscent of Toni’s performance in the music video for her 1996 hit Un-Break My Heart.
The visual is directed by Mike Ho, who also helmed the video for the star’s previous single Dance and Sex & Cigarettes classic Long As I Live.
