A second elimination on Saturday’s (February 10) instalment of ‘The Masked Singer UK’ saw an ‘80s pop icon unveiled as Eiffel Tower.
Cricket, Bigfoot, Piranha, Air Fryer and Eiffel Tower returned to perform for judges Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Lorraine Kelly, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan, with Air Fryer being unmasked earlier in the show as actress and singer Keala Settle.
Following her departure, the final four took to the stage once more with a second performance, with Eiffel Tower being voted out and unmasked as Tiffany.
The former teen icon made her chart debut in 1987 with her cover of the Tommy James and the Shondells song I Think We’re Alone Now, and also scored hits with Could’ve Been and I Saw Him Standing There.
“I wanted to do ‘The Masked Singer’ because I am a huge fan of the show, so this was a blast,” said Tiffany. “It’s different watching the show at home than being in one of these fantastic costumes and the energy here is just amazing.”
Of her costume, she added: “My favourite thing about Eiffel Tower is lighting up. She is amazing. Now, I’m going to go home to all of my costumes and go, ‘Well, they don’t light up. What’s happening?’ So, we’re going to change that!’
Instead of re-singing a track, Tiffany went on to perform her chart-topping smash, I Think We’re Alone Now, after a special request from panellist Jonathan
