Tamar Braxton has released her first new music in three years.
The singer recently shared her latest single Changed, marking her return to R&B with a powerhouse vocal over beats that incorporate elements of SWV‘s classic Rain.
‘I thought you were the man of my dreams / So how the hell was I wrong? / I gave you all of me, oh / Boy it coulda been you / I thought you were the man of my dreams,’ she sings on the rousing mid tempo number.
Back in 2017, following the release of her album ‘Bluebird Of Happiness’, the youngest Braxton sibling announced she was quitting music in an attempt to save her marriage to now-ex-husband Vincent Herbert.
Speaking in a clip on social media, The Braxtons star opened up about the release, admitting she never intended for it to launch the next era in her career.
“Norman and I never really intended for Changed to be a single. We had absolutely no idea that everybody would respond to it the way that they have,” she said, admitting: “Some of our partners, people that we work with, didn’t really believe in the song – which now is pretty funny.”
Following a positive response from fans, however, it has become the lead release from her forthcoming project.
