Due June 2, the track is the follow-up to Too Much Music, Devil Came Down The Dancefloor (feat Amber Martin) and I Used To Be In Love, with his latest offering an upbeat ode to being the last one at the party.
Lifted from his forthcoming album ‘Last Man Dancing’, the track follows lead release Too Much Music and the Amber Martin collaboration Devil Came Down The Dance Floor.
Taking place on August bank holiday weekend (25 – 28 August), the four-day festival “is a diverse, inclusive, queer-led and queer-run celebration of LGBTQ+ life and love in Manchester’s world-famous Gay Village,” according to a press release.
The follow-up to the disco-influenced Too Much Music sees the Scissor Sisters star collaborate with New York vocalist Amber Martin, with whom Jake previously worked on the group’s Pharrell-produced track Inevitable.
The star delivered a three-song performance, also including his new solo track ‘Too Much Music’ and Scissor Sisters’ hit song ‘Mary’, before being joined by Neil for the special duet.
The Scissor Sisters frontman first toured with the band back in 2004 when his group opened for their ‘Reunion Tour’ shows, leading to vocalist Ana Matronic performing on Duran Duran’s ‘All You Need Is Now’ (2010) album.
Stars including MNEK, Billy Porter and Olly Alexander have also lent their voices to the project.
