Suzanne Shaw would love to mark Hear’Say’s 20th anniversary with a one-off gig.
The star was one-fifth of the Pure and Simple group, which shot to fame on TV show ‘Popstars’ in 2001.
While the band released their second and final album ‘Everybody’ later that year, Suzanne is keen to get back on stage with Kym Marsh, Myleene Klass, Noel Sullivan and Danny Foster to mark the milestone.
“I’d definitely be up for it,” she tells The Sun. “Life’s too short to worry about whether it’s cool!
“The fact that there was a pandemic on our 20 year anniversary definitely meant the stars weren’t aligning for us.
“But I would love to do a one-off concert to mark our 20 years. It’s about proving to my kids that I used to be a pop star!”
Despite Suzanne’s optimism, Myleene recently shut down talks of a reunion with all five members, insisting she’s not looking to “go backwards” in her career.
“They asked me. I told them, ‘Go forth, with my blessing’,” explained the star.
“Look at where we are. We are mothers of blended families and second marriages and Kym’s a granny. It’s a lifetime ago.
“If I go backwards, I won’t know who I am. I hope it works. I will be cheering the loudest.”
