The music video for Steps’ forthcoming single is something they’ve ‘never done before’.
After making a long-awaited return with their new Sia-penned single What The Future Holds and its accompanying album earlier this month, the group is already making plans for a second release from the record.
Speaking to Entertainment Focus, the band opened up on the visual for the track, with singer Ian ‘H’ Watkins sharing its “something that we’ve never really done before”.
“We’ve just filmed the video for our second single and that’s really exciting,” he teased. “The whole setup is something that we’ve never really done before. It’s really cool and really slick. We’ve just had the first edit through and the girls look incredible, and Lee of course.”
Lisa Scott-Lee went on to describe the video as, “quite stylised, actually, the colour palettes and everything,” adding: “We’ve done every colour under the sun but we’ve found one we haven’t done before.”
In addition to the album, Steps also confirmed their What The Future Holds Tour will hit UK arenas next November and, after performing their latest release on The One Show, Faye Tozer confessed they can’t wait to sing together again.
“When the album comes out, hopefully, we’ll be all allowed to get together and do some more promotion,” she smiled. “Hopefully, there’ll be another live performance that we can somehow record and get through to everyone.
“We’re just kind of having to wait and see what happens around the world a little bit. We still want to be keeping busy.”
Steps have already begun teasing details of What The Future Holds, confirming the album will include 10 original tracks and two cover versions.
