Steps are taking it to the dance floor with a bundle of high energy remixes of their latest single Heartbreak in this City (Feat. Michelle Visage).
The track, which originally appeared on the group’s sixth studio album ‘What The Future Holds‘, was reworked with former Seduction star Michelle and released as the lead single from ‘What The Future Holds Pt. 2‘, due September 10.
On Friday (April 23), the group shared a pair of new mixes of the tune from Gareth Shortland and Saint, both of which appear in full and as 7″ Edits.
Heartbreak in this City, co-written by classic Steps collaborator Karl Twigg and Stella Attar, became a firm favourite among fans following the release of the group’s latest LP.
In an exclusive interview with Retro Pop, Claire Richards insisted the collaboration with Michelle “couldn’t be more perfect,” revealing: “I think if we’re going to do it with anybody, then she is actually the perfect choice.
“She’s even more camp than we are – which is a feat in itself!”
‘What The Future Holds’ was preceded by singles What The Future Holds and Something In Your Eyes.
In our review of the album, Retro Pop called ‘What The Future Holds’ “a cohesive collection that plays to each of the members’ strengths and showcases the versatility of Steps as Britain’s premier pop group… undoubtedly their most confident, polished release yet.”
‘What The Future Holds Pt. 2’ is due for release September 10 and available to pre-order on CD, LP and Cassette.
