Steps thrilled the Brighton Pride crowd with a celebratory headline set when they took to the Fabuloso stage on Sunday.
The group returned for their only live show of 2023 and did not disappoint with a career-spanning show, launching with the classic Love’s Got A Hold On My Heart and touching on all six of their studio albums.
Alongside hits like One For Sorrow, Deeper Shade Of Blue and Last Thing On My Mind, the group performed surprise covers of Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s Rain On Me and the chart-topping Sam Smith and Kim Petras collaboration, Unholy.
They also paid tribute to the trans community with a touching balloon release during their No. 1 ballad, Heartbeat, with Ian ‘H’ Watkins noting: “Parts of our community are still under attack.”
In a switch-up from their usual sets, the group included their Bee Gees cover Tragedy mid-way through the show and instead ended with their 2000 single, Stomp.
