Sophie Ellis Bextor isn’t fazed by ABBA legend Björn Ulvaeus’ criticism of live stream concerts.
Amid the pandemic, Sophie became a lockdown icon with her Friday night Kitchen Discos, which have gone on to spawn an album and subsequent 2021 tour.
However, someone who’s not a fan of the concept is Björn, who recently insisted, “We’ve seen pop stars streaming their latest song live from their kitchen. Let’s agree on one thing – however talented they are, it’s boring. Boring!”
Speaking to The Sun, Crying At The Discotheque singer Sophie made light of the comments, quipping, “I don’t think he even knows who I am.
Bjorn, you can say many things about my kitchen, but boring is not one of them. ? x https://t.co/nH9teeWtZn

“But that ‘boring’ for me has provided a lot of entertainment,” she shared. “So it’ll do for me.”
At the time Björn’s comments first emerged, the Bittersweet star tweeted in response, “Bjorn, you can say many things about my kitchen, but boring is not one of them.”
