Sinead O’Connor will release her first album in eight years ‘No Veteran Dies Alone’ next year.
The Nothing Compares 2 U hitmaker will release the follow-up to 2014’s ‘I’m Not Bossy, I’m The Boss’, featuring seven new tracks, in early 2022.
While full details of the project remain under wraps, the singer has confirmed her new LP is produced by David Holmes – who has previously worked with Primal Scream and Noel Gallagher, among others.
He has hailed the Irish star’s “undeniable” vocal performance on the collection, for which a firm release date and tracklist are yet to be confirmed.
The news will come as a relief to fans of Sinead, who recently admitted to having mixed feelings about the prospect of retirement.
“Part of me really wants to retire and the other half, if I’m honest, just doesn’t want to let people down,” she explained.
“But you know, that’s why Amy Winehouse is dead.”
In addition to music, the singer recently released her memoir ‘Rememberings’, which is available from Amazon, Waterstones and WH Smith.
Signed copies are also available.
