Shakira is back with her brand new single Te Felicito.
The track is the Colombian superstar’s first release of 2022 and features Puerto Rican singer and rapper Rauw Alejandro.
Fusing electro-pop and reggaeton, the song follows Don’t Wait Up, which marked her first English-language song in five years.
Shakira released her last album ‘El Dorado’ in 2017, featuring the singles Chantaje, Me Enamoré, Perro Fiel and Trap.
Speaking about her comeback, Shakira teased in 2021: “Songs will continue to come out throughout this year that will end up on an album that I think will be available next year.
“Next year I’m going to be on tour again. I am very excited.”
So far, Shakira has released seven Spanish-language albums, and four English-language records in total.
Her last major UK chart placement came in 2014 with her Rihanna collaboration Can’t Remember to Forget You, which peaked at No. 11.
