Sandi Thom is back with her seventh studio album ‘Wanderlust’.

The singer-songwriter, who launched to the top of the charts in 2006 with her debut hit I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker (With Flowers in My Hair), is back with her first long-player in three years.

Sandi Thom returns with haunting new single Silence

In a post on Facebook, she said: “Calling all Londoners…. tickets are available for my intimate gig at The Bedford showcasing new material for my 7th album ‘Wanderlust’.”

The star went on to tease a new track from the project, titled Warpaint, which was “inspired by the time I spent in the Middle East working as a humanitarian in the animal rescue community”.

“It wasn’t easy. It was bloody difficult. I faced a lot of challenges. One in particular last year that pushed me to my limits,” she explained.

“I’m excited to share this song and the story behind it. I like to think of it as laughing in the face of adversity, having the courage to stand your ground and ultimately triumphing over darkness.”

A release date for the project has yet to be confirmed.

Sandi followed-up her breakthrough hit with the No. 1 album ‘Smile… It Confuses People’, which also featured the Top 40 hit What If I’m Right.

In 2008, she returned with ‘The Pink & the Lily’ and, after parting company with her label and establishing Guardian Angel Records, she released ‘Merchants and Thieves’ (2010), ‘Flesh and Blood’ (2012) and ‘The Covers Collection’ (2013).

After a period of downtime, Sandi returned in 2019 with her most recent LP ‘Ghosts’.
