Sade have been working on their first new music in four years.

Speaking in a cover story for Billboard, Brad Pitt and producer Damien Quintard revealed the group has visited their Miraval Studios in France to cut tracks, with the actor referring to singer Sade Adu as “royalty”.

In a separate interview with SPIN, Damien added: “We were ecstatic when she arrived, and for her to be the first artist to record again here.

“Some of the great moments of the studio are when you combine the past with the future.”

Sade’s latest release came back in 2018 with the single Flower of the Universe, lifted from the soundtrack of Ava DuVernay’s film ‘A Wrinkle in Time’.

The group’s last full-length album was 2010’s ‘Soldier of Love’.
