Ronan Keating has teased new music as he returns to the studio to lay down vocals for his 12th solo album.
The Boyzone star returned last year with ‘Twenty Twenty’, which hit the UK charts at No. 2 and featured collaborations with Robbie Williams, Shania Twain and more.
Just over a year after the LP dropped, the singer confirmed new music is on the way as she shared a selfie from the recording booth.
Alongside the post on his Instagram Stories, Ronan wrote: “Vocals. New album on the way.”
The musician released his self-titled first solo record in 2000; a year after Boyzone called time on the group after three studio albums.
He scored hits with five LPs, including the chart-topping ‘Songs for My Mother’, before the boyband reformed in 2010 following the death of founding member Stephen Gately.
They released a further four albums before calling time on their recording career with the farewell record ‘Thank You & Goodnight’.
Since then, the members have worked on various solo projects, including Boyzlife, Keith Duffy’s duo with former Westlife star Brian McFadden, who recently suggested the four-piece had plans for a 30th anniversary reunion.
“It’s 16 years since I left Westlife so, for me, rejoining won’t happen,” said Brian. “But for Boyzone… the boys have been together for 25 years.
“Though Keith and I are doing [Boyzlife] and Ronan Keating is doing his solo thing, if the opportunity comes up for the boys to get together – there is going to be a 30-year anniversary in a few years – you can never say never.”
