Boyzone star Mikey Graham is preparing to hit the studio and record his first solo album in 20 years.
The singer shot to fame alongside Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch and the late Stephen Gately as one-fifth of the Irish boyband, but now he’s preparing to go it alone once again.
Two decades after releasing ‘Meet Me Halfway’, his 2001 solo LP, featuring the UK Top 20 hit You’re My Angel, the star took to Twitter to reveal his comeback.
“Ok then. A new album it is,” he penned. “Been writing lots in lockdown anyway so you all might as well hear it. Got a new manager kicking my ass to get things done.

Boyzone formed in 1993 and scored hits including Words, Love Me For A Reason and No Matter What.
Following 25 years of hits, the band appeared to call it quits with their farewell album ‘Thank You & Goodnight’, which was released in 2018.
Since then, frontman Ronan has released his latest solo album ‘Twenty Twenty’, while Keith has joined forces with former Westlife star Brian McFadden for the duo’s Boyzlife project.
It has been reported Boyzone are planning to reunite in 2023 for a 30th anniversary celebration.
Brian told the Daily Mirror: “It’s 16 years since I left Westlife so, for me, rejoining won’t happen. But for Boyzone . . . the boys have been together for 25 years.
“Though Keith and I are doing [Boyzlife] and Ronan Keating is doing his solo thing, if the opportunity comes up for the boys to get together – there is going to be a 30-year anniversary in a few years – you can never say never.”
