“I’ve never said this before about any previous efforts, but I believe this is by far my best album in many a year,” says Rod of his latest effort.
The album is a collaboration with Kevin Savigar, the keyboardist-songwriter-composer who has co-produced Stewart’s last three studio albums. The pair have worked together on-off since 1978.
Among the tracks included is Touchline, which is dedicated to the singer’s father, who taught him and his brothers to love football – a tradition Rod passed down to his own sons.
‘The Tears of Hercules’ is available to pre-order on CD and vinyl.
