The full version of Kyle Gordon’s Planet Of The Bass Eurodance parody has arrived on digital platforms, complete with a full-length music video.
Arguably the TikTok song of the summer, the track is fronted by rapper DJ Crazy Times and singer Ms Biljana Electronica and references the classic sounds of the 1990s.
As with many of those classic tracks, the vocals on the song are actually provided by an unseen performer, Chrissi Poland.

Speaking to BBC Culture, RETROPOP editor Connor Gotto discussed the success of the parody, crediting the enduring appeal of Eurodance in Britain to its intrinsic ties with summer holidays, with tracks becoming hits “after they were brought back by Brits who first heard them on holiday in Europe”.
However, he suggested it’s not just nostalgia that’s helped it become a massive viral hit, noting that style – both in terms of music and aesthetic – is experiencing a revival.
“When I first scrolled past the video on TikTok, at a glance I thought it was Confidence Man, who are totally leaning into that sound and aesthetic and having success worldwide,” he added. “So, what’s nostalgic for one generation is current for another.”
