Pet Shop Boys have found themselves atop the Billboard Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart in the USA with their 1986 single Opportunities (Let’s Make Lots of Money).
The track was released as the third single from the duo’s debut album ‘Please’ and climbs the chart after appearing in an ad for Allstate Insurance that aired during the Super Bowl in America in February.
After hitting No. 5 on the chart last week, on Wednesday (Feb 24) the pair celebrated reaching the summit.
“‘Opportunities” has this week risen to number one on the @billboard Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart in the USA,” they penned.
“‘West End girls’ is now number 9 on the same chart.”
The US success comes after the group’s classic track It’s a Sin also saw a rise in streaming thanks to the hit TV miniseries of the same name.
