Pet Shop Boys thrilled fans on Sunday as they kicked off Pride Month with a new version of their classic hit West End Girls.
Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe appeared on the event, hosted by the Smithsonian Pride Alliance – part of the world’s largest museum, education and research complex.
The show features LGBTQ+ musicians, artists and allies, including Big Freedia, Bright Light Bright Light, and VINCINT.
Pet Shop Boys appeared at the end of the show, where they debuted West End Girls (New Lockdown Version).
After performing the tune, the group took to Twitter to share the video of their set.
“Pet Shop Boys’ new lockdown version of “West End girls” can be watched in yesterday’s @smithsonian Pride online event now on YouTube,” the duo tweeted.
