It’s second singles all round this week, as Gary Numan and Gwen Stefani come out with sophomore cuts from their upcoming albums…
Gary Numan – I Am Screaming
Label: BMG
Gary Numan celebrates his 63rd birthday with the release of I Am Screaming – the second single from his forthcoming album, ‘Intruder’.
Following on from the previous release, Intruder, I Am Screaming builds pace to an electronic climax, while keeping faithful to the themes of the album.
Gary previously revealed the concept of his latest record, explaining the set “looks at climate change from the planet’s point of view”.
‘Intruder’ is available to pre-order in a number of formats now – including CD, 2LP coloured vinyl and cassette – from Gary’s store.
Gwen Stefani – Slow Clap
Label: Interscope
After re-introducing herself on her last track, Gwen Stefani returns this week with Slow Clap as the latest cut from her upcoming fifth LP.
The track was influenced by the idea that “your weirdness actually is what makes you so special” and was the next song she wrote after Let Me Reintroduce Myself.
Gwen released her last non-festive album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, back in 2016.
