Bros star Matt Goss helped talk a desperate fan out of taking her own life after recognising her calls for help.
The Bris star was doing an Instagram Live stream with his fans last month when he saw a message from a woman.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, he recalled: “The message from this lady said she wanted to end it all. My heart was in my mouth. I couldn’t ignore it and stopped everything, contacted the woman and she was indeed in a great deal of trouble.
“She was in her own house and was in a bad way. So I told her that if she was at risk, I’d need to contact the authorities — the police, the ambulance, everything.”
The When Will I Be Famous hitmaker continued: “I let her know the severity of what was about to happen and I think, for her, that was a relief. She wanted to be heard, to be listened to.”
After speaking to the woman for 20 minutes, Matt, who recently released a new single supporting the NHS, said she began to “calm down” and eventually signed off because she felt loved.
He went on to check on the woman a number of times afterwards to ensure she was doing well.
The woman, referred to as Hannah by the newspaper, said she was having a really bad day, but Matt reminded her she is important and matters.
She described him as a “true gentleman”, adding that she will be forever grateful to him.
