Mark Owen has released a teaser clip for his first solo record in almost a decade.
It’s been nine years since the Take That star released his fourth LP ‘The Art of Doing Nothing’, but in a new video he confirms new music is on the way.
“Hello. I am Mark Owen and I am here in Los Angeles, California making a new record,” he says in the teaser clip.
The footage features Mark’s ‘M’ logo, alongside shots of him outdoors as well as in the recording booth.
A follow-up clip, simply titled “Come and have a look…”, sees Mark waving to the camera while laying down vocals.
It was previously reported that Mark plans to debut new music live during his set at the Isle of Wight Festival.
“Mark has had some free time during Covid while Take That have been on a break to think about what he wants to do next,” sources told The Sun.
“He has been writing some songs and they are sounding pretty good.
“It is early days but he is dipping his toe back in with his set at Isle of Wight Festival and is toying with the idea of another solo record.
“Nothing is nailed down, but given he has done a solo album every ten years or so for the last two decades, now feels like a nice time to think about it again.”
It comes as his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow continues to tour the UK with his solo ‘A Different Stage’ show, which is currently set to run until the end of the year.
