Mariah Carey has kicked off the campaign for her new album, The Rarities, with brand new single Save The Day.
The track – which appears to originate circa 2011/12 during sessions for what would become Me. I Am Mariah. – has been re-recorded for the project and sees Mariah in fine vocal form, with a number of whistle moments.
Save The Day also features a sample of Killing Me Softly by The Fugees.
Slated for release on October 2nd, The Rarities includes outtakes, demos and B-sides from Mariah’s 30-year career. Also included is her performance from Japan’s Tokyo Dome in 1996.
