Mariah Carey has thrilled fans by unveiling an official Christmas ornament for 2021.
The singer hit headlines last year when an unofficial tree decoration inspired by the star took over social media for all the wrong reasons.
Featuring the title of Mariah’s classic festive hit All I Want for Christmas is You, the ornament was based on the cover for the single, featuring the diva kneeling in the snow in a red outfit.
This is… Not approved 😐

However, with little likeness to the Queen of Christmas – and particularly wonky eyes – she seemed less than impressed with the tribute.
“This is… Not approved,” tweeted the Oh Santa! star, adding, “(But it’s the thought that counts).”
Now, she’s taken matters into her own hands by announcing an official ‘Mariah Carey – All I want for Christmas Ornament’, available to pre-order now at Walmart.
“Make Christmas memories all year long with this cheerful ornament from the queen of Christmas herself, Mariah Carey,” reads a description of the three-inch tall decoration.
“Hang it in your window to remind yourself of happy times ahead, and when December comes give it a special place on the tree.”
Also available to pre-order from Walmart ahead of a December release is the ‘Mariah Carey – All I Want for Christmas is You Card Game’.
“Players start with a handful of cards, and give them to other players (or to the Discard gift pile) as they play,” reads the rules.
“Each turn, you can discard a card to the Discard gift pile for a special effect, discard matching cards for no effect, or take the top card of the Discard gift pile into your hand.
“Cards include: Presents: Give this card to another player… Mistletoe: Swap hands with another player… Secret Santa: All players pass a card to the players on their left… And More!
“Players keep taking turns until one player has given away or discarded every card in their hand, except for the Mariah Carey card, and they are instantly the winner!”
The new releases are among several surprises teased by Mariah ahead of the holidays, including a new Apple TV+ special, following the success of her 2020 feature.
A limited edition festive crate is also available to pre-order and expected to ship in December.
