Marc Almond is switching music for magic in his quest to become a druid.
The Soft Cell star told the Daily Mirror he’s taken up the practice in a bid to halt the ageing process, admitting he’s “quite a narcissist”.
“In my spare time I’m studying to be a Druid; fancy dressing in robes and dancing around Stonehenge,” he said.
“I’m quite a narcissist, so I look in the mirror and despair. Ageing is a war that gets harder to fight.”
Adding he’ll “happily pose for selfies but they’re not flattering,” Marc conceded: “There will come a point when I just give in, but you have to keep being a star, who your fans want you to be, until the last moment.
“Then you should just retire and never be seen again.”
HIs new passion isn’t getting in the way of his music career, though. The Tainted Love hitmaker will perform a livestream gig next Friday to raise funds for ailing London studios amid the Covid-19 crisis.
