A concertgoer has sued Madonna over “unwanted” sexual performances during her ‘Celebration Tour’.
In papers filed by Justen Lipeles in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, it is claimed he experienced emotional distress after attending the singer’s LA show.
He claimed Madonna showed “disrespect” to her fans at her March 7 concert by subjecting the crowd to “pornography without warning” during her 40th anniversary shows, including “topless women on stage simulating sex acts”.
Justen added to his filing that Madonna insisted the air conditioning be turned off, with the resulting heat causing him to become physically ill, while also taking issue with the Queen of Pop’s timekeeping.
The show was ticketed to begin at 8.30pm, however Justen alleged she did not appear on stage until after 10pm. It’s not the first time this has been raised in legal filings.
“Forcing consumers to wait hours in hot, uncomfortable arenas and subjecting them to pornography without warning is demonstrative of Madonna’s flippant disrespect for her fans,” the complaint adds.
He also suggested Madonna lip-synced, despite attendees having paid for a live performance.
