Celebrating the 40th anniversary of her self-titled debut album, Madonna has shared a three-track digital single of Lucky Star.
Originally released on July 27, 1983, the LP introduced the US star to the world and laid the foundations for the Queen of Pop’s chart reign that would go on for decades.
The new release includes the Album Versions along with 7” Edit and U.S. Remix of the fourth overall single from the record.

It comes after Madonna was recently forced to delay the launch of her ‘Celebration Tour’ after being hospitalised last month and spending a weekend in the ICU with a bacterial infection.
As a result, the opening North American leg – which had been due to commence on July 15 – has been pushed and the run will now start in Europe in October.
Sharing a statement on social media, the Don’t Tell Me singer said: “Thank you for your positive energy, Prayers and words of healing and encouragement. I have felt your love. I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life.
“My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children. My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour. I also didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone.
“My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I’ll be back with you as soon as I can! The current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and to begin in October in Europe. I couldn’t be more grateful for your care and support. Love, M.”
Updated dates for Madonna’s ‘Celebration Tour’ have yet to be announced.
