Louis Tomlinson has officially announced his highly anticipated third solo album, How Did I Get Here?.
Due for release on January 23, 2026, the album is preceded by lead single, Lemonade, with the flirty, sun-soaked tune dropping alongside the LP announcement and setting the tone for this new era.
Co-produced with Nico Rebscher and developed during writing sessions in Costa Rica, the song has been described by the former One Direction star as something that needed to feel “big and fun”, with “instant and natural personality”.
“I sum up it as ‘The record I always deserved to make’,” he explains (via Rolling Stone). “My bread and butter is my honesty. I genuinely wear my heart on my sleeve, and I hope it comes through in the music.
“I’m still learning and getting better as a singer and a songwriter. I find it impossible to be complacent; it’s not in my vocabulary. For the first time now, I’m allowing myself to be the artist I’d always hoped I’d be.”
Details of the album tracklist have yet to be revealed.
‘How Did I Get Here?’ is released on January 23 and available to pre-order from Amazon, HMV, Rough Trade, Townsend and more. Listen to Lemonade below.
