Lindsey Buckingham is back with his long-awaited sixth solo studio album.
The former Fleetwood Mac frontman will release his self-titled LP on September 17, with lead track I Don’t Mind available now on digital platforms.
“My new self-titled album is one I’ve been intending to get out for a couple of years now, but on more than one occasion, unforeseen circumstances necessitated a postponement of plans,” tweeted Lindsey in an album announcement.
“Now that we’re back in gear, I’m thrilled to finally be sharing new music with my listeners!”

The LP, available to pre-order now, features 10 brand new tracks, and is Lindsey’s first since departing Fleetwood Mac in 2018.
Written, produced and recorded by Buckingham at his home studio in Los Angeles, CA, and showcases his instantly recognisable guitar work and vocal layering on songs such as Power Down, Scream and Swan Song.
The music legend – best known for hits including Go Your Own Way, Second Hand News and Tusk – also pays homage to ‘60s folk group the Pozo-Seco Singers’ hit single Time.
Admitting he’s always wanted to cover the tune, he says: “I wanted to make a pop album, but I also wanted to make stops along the way with songs that resemble art more than pop.
“As you age, hopefully you keep getting a little more grounded in the craft of what you’re doing. For me, getting older has probably helped to reinforce the innocence and the idealism that hopefully was always there.”
In addition to the new music, Lindsey is set to hit the road for a string of US Tour dates through September and December 2021.
‘Lindsey Buckingham’ is available to pre-order on CD and Vinyl.
