Lemar is set to hit the road with his ‘Closer Tour’ arriving at venues across the UK next spring.
The Dance (With U) hitmaker will deliver hits, fan-favourites, and tracks from his latest album, ‘Page In My Heart’ during the eight-show run, which sees the star accompanied by his live band.
Launching in Gateshead on April 5, the run hits Leeds, Southend-On-Sea, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh and Birmingham, before finishing in London at the Adelphi Theatre on April 16.
On the tour, Lemar says: “I had so much fun this year celebrating 20 years that I’ve decided to let the celebrations continue for a little longer, and get even closer with my fans.
“More reminiscing to be done… more songs to be sung! Really looking forward to it. Come join me!”

Coinciding with the release of ‘Page In My Heart’ earlier this year, Lemar spoke with RETROPOP as he celebrated 20 years in music, revealing he was all but ready to give up on a career in pop before ‘Fame Academy’ came up.
“I’d been trying for about eight years to do music and it was time to give up, basically,” he shares of the show, which saw Lemar sacrifice the opportunity to study pharmacy at Cardiff University and pursue his dream of making it in the music industry.
Prior to the show, he supported artists such as Destiny’s Child and Usher on their UK club tours and even recorded the garage-influenced single Got Me Saying Ooh in 2001, which fell victim to a restructuring at his record label that ultimately saw him dropped from the roster.
“It was time to give up, go back to uni and get a day job,” he added, “and as much as the talent shows were around, there had only really been ‘Popstars’, which had just aired, so I didn’t know what the outcome would be. But I remember thinking that my voice was good enough and would hold up, so I just rolled the dice and fortunately it’s given me 20 years of a different life.”
The If There’s Any Justice singer continued: “The whole reason that I even applied was that I just wanted someone to hear my voice,” he insists. “That was it. I just thought that it was an opportunity for the public to hear what I’ve been trying to do for eight years – and luckily enough the cards fell in my favour.”
In a review of the album, RETROPOP praised ‘Page In My Heart’, calling the LP “a reminder of Lemar’s star power and, as an album, his best in a long time”.
