Lady Gaga will host and appear as a musical guest on a forthcoming instalment of ‘Saturday Night Live’.

Following the release of her new album, ‘Mayhem’, on March 7, the Abracadabra hitmaker will pull double-duty on Saturday, March 8, as she hosts and performs on SNL.

It will mark her fifth time performing on the long-running sketch comedy show, and her second stint as host.

Speaking on the new LP, which also features the chart-topping Bruno Mars collaboration, Die With A Smile, and Disease, Gaga said, “the album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved”. 

She added that it represents her “reassembling a shattered mirror: even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way.”
