Kylie Minogue had planned to call her new wine range The Wild Rosé – but decided it was too much of a “gimmick”.
The 2 Hearts hitmaker released her new line of beverages on Monday, and stock soon sold out across the UK.
Speaking to GQ ahead of the release, Kylie was asked whether she considered naming the release after her Nick Cave collaboration, Where the Wild Roses Grow.
“Hah, yes, there was!” she said. “We did play with that idea, but for a start it was taken. And secondly, we didn’t want it to feel like a gimmick.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Kylie opened up on how she’s spending her time in lockdown – and no, she’s not got around to decluttering either.
“I thought I would have done a lot of sorting in the house. That has not happened,” she laughed.
“Nor has the fitness, learning a language or doing any of the seemingly ‘doable’ tasks.”
Instead, she’s turned a keen gardener, and has been nurturing plants and herbs “from seeds to salads”.
