Kylie Minogue will revisit 37 years of hits on her ‘Tension’ world tour for a setlist that’s “all killer no filler”.
The pop superstar will embark on a global run of shows in 2025 on the back of her two most recent albums, with the Slow hitmaker promising “heaps of new” material in the setlist.
“I’ve done a number of festivals and one-off shows this past year and I feel you are lucky when you boil down a stock and get the goodness,” she said (via The Sun’s Bizarre column).
“And I feel it’s all killer no filler,” she added. “There are 37 years of songs to play with and heaps of new stuff.”
However she’s yet to determine the final setlist for the shows, with the Can’t Get You Out Of My Head singer admitting she prefers to see “how it moves” her “musically” during the rehearsal process.
“I am in a state right now but I know the set list won’t be there until we get well into rehearsals and see how it moves me musically,” Kylie continued. “It’s gonna be a good time.”
On the world tour, Kylie said in an announcement: “I am beyond excited to announce the TENSION TOUR 2025. I can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the Tension era and more!
“It’s been an exhilarating ride so far and now, get ready for your close up because I will be calling Lights, Camera, Action… and there will be a whole lot of Padaming!”
Kylie’s latest album, ‘Tension II’, arrived in October and features nine brand new songs that serve as a follow-up to last year’s chart-topping ‘Tension’, which included the hit singles Padam Padam and Tension.
“The ‘Tension’ era has been so special to me… I can’t possibly let it be over just yet! Welcome to ‘Tension II’,” said Kylie in a statement about the new album.
Also included are the recent collaborations: Edge Of Saturday Night with The Blessed Madonna, My Oh My with Bebe Rexha and Tove Lo, and Midnight Ride with Orville Peck.
