Kesha has taken to social media to celebrate her freedom from her former record label.
The TikTok hitmaker signed to her former label Kemosabe Records at the age of 18 in 2005 and has been at the centre of legal battles in recent years pertaining to the contract.

Now, after nearly two decades her obligations are complete and the singer is free to release music on her own terms.
“First day I’ve owned my voice in 19 years. Welcome,” she announced on social media.
Having launched a new website, she also sent out a newsletter to fans, saying: “Animals. I’ve waited for this day for more than half of my life. All of my adult life
“There is so much more that I have to say, and experiences we have to share.”
“This is the time for our joy ride. We made it… and I wasn’t alone thanks to each of you. Thank you.
“So much is on the horizon… But for now… Freedom. I’ve been waiting for you.”
The tearful star later took to Instagram live to connect with fans and share some of her new material, including a massive new anthem presumably called Delusional.

‘Live for the heartbreak, it gets my bills paid / Thank God you walked out that door / Baby, you’re delusional / Thinking you can never find something that’s as beautiful / Someone with a love like mine’ she sings on the track.
The new material serves as the follow-up to Kesha’s 2023 album ‘Gag Order’, which RETROPOP called “a bold, defiant statement” that’s “destined to become her magnum opus”.
