Gossip have joined forces with Alison Moyet to perform a cover of Yazoo‘s Situation as part of BBC’s 6 Music Festival.
The Arkansas band were headlining the event, which took place across Greater Manchester through Sunday (March 10), when they were joined by the pop legend.

Midway through the set, singer Beth Ditto introduced Moyet on stage, saying: “Please put your hands together for one of the icons of my life!”
It marks the All Cried Out singer’s first live performance in over a year and comes ahead of the release of Gossip’s new album, ‘Real Power’, on March 22.

It comes after the Is This Love? hitmaker recently teased new material as she heads into the 40th anniversary of her solo career.
The singer – who released her most-recent LP, ‘Other’, in 2017 – took to X to post what looks to be a teaser for its follow-up.
“This month I have mostly been singing,” she shared alongside a black and white photo of a setup featuring multiple microphones. “Fol de rol, and all that, but not those words. It’s a bizarre occupation when you think about it.”
It didn’t take long for fans to jump in the comments and share their excitement, with one calling Moyet’s post “the best news ever!”.
