Gossip are back with their brand new album, ‘Real Power’.
The LP is the first from the indie rockers – Beth Ditto, Brace Paine and Hannah Blilie – in over a decade and features the single, Crazy Again, out now.
The 11-track celebration of “creative expression” has been years in the making, with the process temporarily halted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
On the Rick Rubin-produced follow-up to 2012 release, ‘A Joyful Noise’, Beth says: “When we began, so much about Gossip was about running away – that was always in the music.
“We survived. We came from nothing, and we got the fuck out of there. And to be here 20 years later and still making music together is just incredible.”
Reflecting on the first track to be released, she adds: “The song is about actually being in love and feeling so safe.”
‘Real Power’ is out March 22 on Sony.
