Lindsey Buckingham appears to be hinting at a new project with Stevie Nicks for 2027.

The former Fleetwood Mac stars are back on talking terms after reissuing their classic ‘Buckingham Nicks’ (1973) album last year, making it available for the first time since its original release.

Upon sharing their earliest work again, Nicks revealed the pair are back on talking terms, saying: “Lindsey and I started talking about [the album] last night. This whole thing seems really like yesterday to us.”

Now, Buckingham seems to have dropped another hint of a potential reunion between the two while speaking with E! about the upcoming Fleetwood Mac documentary.

“I think the process of making that has been a very circular healing process for all of us,” he said. Although he avoided discussing a possible tour, Buckingham went on to insist the “most important thing” was the reconcilliation between Nicks and himself.

“Because we had left things in 2019, maybe as far as I was concerned, not in a very good place for all the wrong reasons,” he said. “No one was happy about it, and all of that has been healed and worked out.

“Stevie and I are talking all the time now,” he added. “Next year should be a pretty interesting year, because I think quite a few things will reveal themselves.”

In addition to the upcoming documentary release, next year will also see Fleetwood Mac’s seminal 1977 album ‘Rumours’ turn 50.

Buckingham previously hinted at new work with Nicks while discussing what he’s looking forward to in 2026, including a new solo album, in a post on Instagram.

He shared: “I think on a more general level, just the energy of what ‘Buckingham Nicks’ did to sort of create a resurgence of connection between Stevie and myself, I think on a larger scale that seems to be something that’s in the air.

“And what that translates to specifically, I wouldn’t want to speculate yet, but I believe with all my heart it will translate to something good and something wonderful and something needed and something extremely appropriate.”
