‘80s TV series ‘Fame’ is returning to screens on the new NOW 80s network.
The show will debut with three episodes on November 7, before airing Thursdays from 7 pm GMT.
The show followed the lives of the students and faculty at the New York City High School for the Performing Arts and served as a spin-off from the 1980 movie of the same name, which featured the iconic theme tune sung by Irene Cara.
It also spawned the Kids From Fame act, which had the No. 1 and No. 2 albums in the UK for two consecutive weeks – a feat that has only ever been achieved by The Beatles in 1963 and Adele in 2011.
A subsequent arena tour included sold out shows at Wembley and the Royal Albert Hall.
The TV programme a groundbreaking concept, tackling subjects such as racism, illiteracy, disability, body dysmorphia, censorship and featured the most diverse cast on British TV.
