Dolly Parton has joined forces with her Goddaughter Miley Cyrus on a rendition of the pop star’s hit single, Wrecking Ball.
Lifted from her fourth album, ‘Bangerz’ (2013), the pair originally performed a duet version of the track during ‘Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party’.
Now, they’ve gone into the studio together and recorded the song for inclusion on Dolly’s forthcoming album, ‘Rockstar’, out November 17.
“I remember the first time I heard Wrecking Ball, it hit me the same way as it did the first time I heard I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston,” the country legend told fans on Instagram. “I was driving, heard that one, and I almost wrecked. And when I heard Wrecking Ball, I almost wrecked again.
“I thought when it started into that chorus, ‘It hit me like a wrecking ball,’ I thought, ‘Well, how great can a song be?'”

Included on ‘Rockstar’ are nine original tracks and 21 iconic rock anthems, with Dolly “honoured and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time”.
“I’m so excited to finally present my first Rock and Roll album ‘Rockstar’,” she says. “To be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure. I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together!”
