Dionne Warwick’s biopic series is still going ahead as plans despite talk of setbacks on the production.

The singer is working on the series with theatre producer Scott Rudin, who has been accused of workplace bullying in recent months, prompting speculation the show has been put on hold.

Biut in a video message shared to social media, Dionne insisted work is pushing forward with the project.

In a video message, she said: “Most of you have either heard and/or read about Scott Rudin.

👩🏽‍💻Hey, @TMZ! My biopic with @TEYANATAYLOR is not on pause. I have tapped into a talented mind to help create this with me. Any guesses? pic.twitter.com/oldoXzp3zK

“And yes, he did approach me to do a film on my life, which I’m still very excited about and my hope is for him to come out on the good side of all this rhetoric, and it’s going to be OK.”

The Walk On By singer went on to admit she finds the attention surrounding the series “very exciting”, after it was confirmed R&B star Teyana Taylor would play the star.

Dionne explained: “It’s a series about my life and it’s got quite a bit of attention, which is very exciting.”

And she has persuaded another “talented mind” to get involved in the project – but Dionne played coy, instead asking her followers to guess who it might be.

It comes after the I Say a Little Prayer star previously admitted she’d love Teyana to play a role behind the camera as well as on screen.

“It’s going to be a series, we’re planning to do an episodic type of a show,” she shared. “[Teyana] is certainly a talented young lady with whom I’ve had the pleasure of interfacing.

“In fact, we had a conversation last night on the telephone. She’s very excited about the prospect of being involved and she’s also going to be very, very much involved in directing it and putting together parts and parcel of how we see this going.”
