Diana Ross’ performance at this year’s Glastonbury festival attracted a record-breaking audience.
The Supremes legend’s Sunday afternoon Legends slot set reached an overnight audience of 3.1 million via the event’s BBC coverage.
It beats Kylie Minogue’s triumphant 2019 spectacle, which was watched by an average audience of 3 million.

“Everybody here and everybody watching on global television around the world, I want you to know I am so grateful for this life, so grateful to be here with you,” she said during the show.
“I’m filled with thankfulness.”
The star’s 75-minute set featured cuts from across her career, including her early recordings with the Motown group and solo hits such as I’m Coming Out, Chain Reaction, Love Hangover and Upside Down.
The show also included selections from her most recent LP, 2021’s ‘Thank You’.
