Kelly Rowland staged an impromptu reunion with her Destiny’s Child bandmates Beyoncé Knowles and Michelle Williams over the weekend (January 6-7) to celebrate her husband’s birthday.
The trio gathered for a lavish party at Los Angeles’ Fleur Room to mark Tim Weatherspoon’s 50th birthday – and it seems they couldn’t help getting back on stage for a rare performance together.
According to Page Six, Kelly, Beyoncé and Michelle performed a special rendition of Happy Birthday To You for Tim, along with guests including Kris Jenner, The Weeknd and, of course, JAY-Z.
The party was hosted by Kelly alongside Roc Nation boss Lenny Santiago and Carver Green, with the couple’s kids, Titan, 9, and Noah, 3, also present to celebrate and help blow their dad’s candles out, insiders told the New York Post column.
Destiny’s Child released their eponymous debut album in 1998 and scored hits such as Lose My Breath, Survivor and Say My Name, before disbanding in 2005.
However, they’ve reunited several times over the years, including for performances at Beyoncé’s Coachella set and Super Bowl Halftime Show.
