Soft Cell’s Dave Ball has hinted at more new music from the synth-pop duo.
The Tainted Love hitmakers return this week with their fifth LP ‘*Happiness Not Included’ and, ahead of its release, the musician is already looking to the future.
Despite missing out on promo after suffering a fractured vertebrae, the group’s team shared a promising update with fans on social media, thanking fans “for their good wishes in recent weeks”.
“While he remains in hospital to receive treatment as his back injury recovers, he can’t wait to get back to his beloved synths in the studio,” they added.
“He would like to say how bowled over he is by the fan and public support for ‘Purple zone’ and the upcoming album ‘*Happiness not included’.
“He also added, in his own words, ‘there’s more where that came from’!”
‘*Happiness Not Included’ is Soft Cell’s first studio album since their 2002 release ‘Cruelty Without Beauty’.
It features Purple Zone, a collaboration with fellow pop legends Pet Shop Boys.
