Classic Cher album ‘I’d Rather Believe In You’ is the latest of the music icon’s repertoire to be restored and remastered for a digital reissue.
Originally released in 1976, the star’s 13th solo album spawned just one single, the rock tinged Long Distance Love Affair.
The record came during a period of commercial failure for the singer and, much like previous LP ‘Stars’, the single and album failed to chart.
However, 45 years after its initial release, the diva has revisited the record for a remastered digital reissue, available exclusively on her YouTube channel. It marks the first time the album has been commercially available digitally.
According to Billboard, Cher owns the rights to her early Warner Bros. albums, also including ‘Stars’ – which was recently reissued – ‘Cherished’ and her Allman and Woman collaboration with then-husband Greg Allman, ‘Two the Hard Way’.
The reissue comes after Cher recently teased new music is on the way, including a “big” collaboration with rapper Saweetie.
“She’s a sweet girl,” she said. “I don’t know how she is with everybody else, but she and I had the best time together. And the thing that we did is going to be big.”
