Cher rang in 2023 by attending Janet Jackson’s concert at Wynn Las Vegas. 

The Believe singer was accompanied by her boyfriend Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards to the concert, which offered a flavour of what to expect from the pop superstar’s forthcoming ‘Together Again Tour’.

In a clip shared on social media, the two mega stars are seen catching up backstage, as Cher introduces Janet to her new partner. 

Sharing a post to mark the New Year, the I Found Someone singer posted a snap of herself and AE with the caption, “Happy New Year Daddy,” further fuelling rumours that the pair are engaged. 

Talk began that they could be set to tie the knot after Cher received a lavish diamond ring over the holidays, with naysayers calling out the romance for its 40-year age gap. 

Clapping back, the hitmaker later penned: “This should Send you Haters to The Part in Wizzard of  OZ…WHEN DOROTHY THREW WATER ON THE wicked Witch & Melted her.”

It comes after Cher recently suffered heartbreak following the loss of her mother, Georgia Holt, who died aged 96 in December.

“Mom is gone,” she wrote at the time, with fans rushing to send messages of support to the music legend. 

In a later post, she added: “The truth…. She’s been Sick,&rallying,she then got bad,She was in so much pain. Finally she coded on way to Hosp. By time we Got to Hosp….The Woman who Who Was MY KICK ASS MOM was No long Here.

“This may sound strange,but mom Was so sick for So Long.Was in Constant pain. Now she’s free. [sic]”
