Bonnie McKee has released her brand new single, Slay.
The synth-driven track marks the Los Angeles-based star’s first new music since 2020 and serves as the lead single of her second album, ‘Hot City’.
Speaking about the LP – due in the autumn – Bonnie says: “Some things will haunt you. And this album was one of them.
“I locked it away for a decade thinking nobody wanted it, but that little voice inside me kept singing. And against literally everyone in the industry’s advice, I said fuck it – I’m putting it out. For you guys, for myself.”
Bonnie – who released her most recent single, Kick Your Shoes Off, from the soundtrack to TV series ‘Royalties’, three years ago – has penned monster hits such as Katy Perry’s California Gurls and Teenage Dream, Britney Spears’ Hold It Against Me, Kesha’s C’mon and I Don’t Care by Cheryl.
