Carly Rae Jepsen discusses dating in the digital age on her latest single Beach House.
The track is the second to be lifted from the pop superstar’s forthcoming album ‘The Loneliest Time’, following lead cut Western Wind.
Alongside the single, she’s shared a fresh visual, shot on a beach in Malibu, California and offering an all-too-real account of the wild unpredictability of app-based dating to life.
Featured in the clip are cameos from some of Jepsen’s close friends and collaborators including bassist Bobby Wooten, tour manager Tony Marino, vocalist Sophi Bair, songwriter Ben Romans, producer Cole Marsden Greif-Neill, three-time video cameo friend Jimmy Loweree and friends Jenna Lightner, Kirsti Schroeder and Darwin Vanko, to name a few.
The Run Away With Me hitmaker’s new album is billed as the star’s “most introspective body of work to date”, with Carly revealing: “I’m quite fascinated by loneliness.
“It can be really beautiful when you turn it over and look at it. Just like love, it can cause some extreme human reactions.”
Carly will debut new material from the LP during her ‘So Nice Tour’ across the US, which kicks off late September in Montreal and wraps early November in Chicago.
‘The Loneliest Time’ is out October 21 and available to pre-order now.
