Britney Spears is writing a book inspired by her conservatorship.
The pop icon has been under the conservatorship of her dad Jamie since 2008 but, following a legal battle and pressure from the #FreeBritney movement, he’s been suspended from his role.
It’s not the end of Britney’s legal woes, as she’s now pushing for the termination of the conservatorship, but the I’m a Slave 4 U hitmaker is already looking forward to her next project.
Taking to Instagram, Britney revealed plans to pen a book about a “girl who was murdered” who finds her ghost “stuck in limbo”, inspired by her struggles.
According to the singer, the story will see the girl’s ghost try to come to terms with the “trauma and pain” she’s endured so she can finally cross to the other side.
“I’m writing a book about a girl who was murdered,” wrote Britney, “yet her ghost gets stuck in limbo because of trauma and pain and she doesn’t know how to cross over to the world she use to know !!!!
“After being stuck in limbo for three years, she is a ghost who thrives off of her reflection in her mirror for existence!!!! She has no one she can trust but something happens and she figures out how to cross over to the world where her family is !!!!
“Coming out of the limbo she has a decision to make … greet the same people who murdered her or create a whole new life !!!!
“She no longer needs her mirror … she found a portal by citing certain prayers constantly that give her the insight and gift to not be scared anymore and come out of limbo … but what I will leave to the IMAGINATION is what she does when she crosses over …… besides learning to write her name again. [sic]”
During the hearing on September 29, Jamie was ordered to turn over the documents relating to the conservatorship to John Zabel, a certified public accountant, who has been appointed as a temporary conservator.
Jodi Montgomery, who manages Britney’s day-to-day wellbeing and medical decisions, will remain in her role for the time being.
According to Page Six, Britney “burst into tears” upon hearing the judge’s decision to terminate Jamie, with sources revealing: “For the longest time, she had begun to think that she would never see the day that her father’s domineering control over every single aspect of her life would end, but it finally happened.”
