The new Bob Dylan biopic ‘A Complete Unknown’ will debut later this year.
The film – directed by James Mangold and starring Timothée Chalamet as the music legend – is set to hit cinemas worldwide on Christmas Day (December 25) in the United States.
According to Variety, it will air across the UK from January 17.
Also starring Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, Monica Barbaro, Boyd Holbrook, Dan Fogler, Norbert Leo Butz and Scoot McNairy, the film explores Dylan’s rise to fame, from his early success to his position as a folk icon.
A synopsis reads: “Set in the influential New York music scene of the early 60s, A Complete Unknown follows 19-year-old Minnesota musician Bob Dylan’s (Timothée Chalamet) meteoric rise as a folk singer to concert halls and the top of the charts – his songs and mystique becoming a worldwide sensation – culminating in his groundbreaking electric rock and roll performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.”
Chalamet will sing in ‘A Complete Unknown’, after flexing his vocal chops in last year’s musical movie ‘Wonka’.
