Blur will release their new ‘Live At Wembley Stadium’ album alongside their brand-new documentary and concert film.
The band played to over 150,000 fans across two nights at the stadium last summer and, one year later, a live concert album of the Wembley shows is due for release on July 26
Additionally, the band has announced the new concert film, ‘Blur: Live At Wembley Stadium’, which is set to premiere in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on September 6.
Ticket and cinema details will be shared soon.
It’s the second big screen project from the Parklife hitmakers, with their previously-announced reunion documentary ‘To The End’ landing in cinemas on July 19. Tickets are available here.
It comes after Damon Albarn – who most recently played two Coachella dates with Blur – admitted the shows could well be their last ever.
Speaking to the crowd during their second appearance at the festival, he said: “In the spirit of clarity and truth, this is probably our last gig.”
Earlier this year, Albarn confirmed the band would embark upon a hiatus after wrapping the campaign for their latest, chart-topping album, ‘The Ballad Of Darren’.
“It is time to wrap up this campaign,” he said. “It’s too much for me. It was the right thing to do and an immense honour to play these songs again, spend time with these guys, make an album, blah-blah-blah.”
He added: “I’m not saying I won’t do it again, it was a beautiful success, but I’m not dwelling on the past.”
